Fused Glass Geometric Bowl

Beautiful Unique large Glass Dish. Created by firing twice  in a high temperature electric kiln. 

1) The design is first created on paper to identify where pieces will be placed.

2) Layers of coloured flat glass and stringers are placed ontop of each other and fired in a high temp kiln to stick them together into a flat, smooth piece. Removed when cool.

2) The piece is placed over a shape and placed back in the kiln and refired to the highest temperature. The glass will take on what ever shape it is place on or into. 

It has to be the correct temperatures for it not to break.

Each firing takes aprox 16 hours in total.
